WHAT IS MONOCHROMATIC STYLE ?
A monochromatic style basically consists of looks/outfits which is created only with one color. that is exactly what the name suggests.
"MONO" meaning "One"
and
"CHROME" meaning "Color"
So, It is a style with one color. It does not mean that you have to look like patch of a particular color walking through the street (obviously not).
You can play around with shades and patterns of the color. All kinds of stripes , vertical , horizontal or add on some floral prints or go a little retro with polka dots or make it royal with embellished pieces and broaches and badges. A touch of embroidery is a great choice too.

Monochromatic look is a very versatile style because it looks good on almost everyone and it can be worn to many different places in multiple ways.
EFFORTLESS:-
Isn't it easy to pull out clothes without even melting down your closet a bit. When you have to wear same colors , no need to stress over mix and matching or the color scheme. All it requires is to fit right.
For instance , if my wardrobe is filled with different pieces of white or maybe black clothes.i won't have to think twice before picking out an outfit because its all black. I ain't got time to pick , mix , match and coordinate different colors to suit me.

Monochromatic Styling Tips
DRESS IT DOWN:-
For a light occasion or a casual day out , you can absolutely have a monochromatic outfit.
To dress it down , pair a basic T-shirt with a trouser or shorts.
Always make sure that clothes on the bottom half should be of darker shade and the top can be a shade lighter.
Loose to medium fit silhouettes are more preferable than fitted and extremely body flattering , this is so because the concern here is to stay comfortable all day long.
In summers , a scarf , flat sandals and shoes would be perfect to accessorize.
Where as in winters, a pair of boots ,c loose knit sweaters , caps and mufflers go great.
DRESS IT UP:-
Monochromatic style can also be substantial for a party or a date or for any special occasion .
To dress it up , you can throw a cape over a gown. same rule applies here darker gown lighter cape. more ideas:
1.Flared skirt with a crop top
2. Dresses along with sheer skirts or overalls
3. Casual outfits and sequin shrugs
4. Formal trouser-shirt with Blazers
The key rule is to add on an extra piece of clothing even when the outfit look complete (pullovers, cardigan , hats...)
Consider bold colors (yellow,red,royal blue)
Add statement shoes or neck pieces.
NOTE:-
It is not necessary that bold colors can only be dressed up and neutrals can only be dressed down. it can be visa-versa.
